Fast becoming a legend of the pigeon sport, Martyn Mitchell is proving to be a leading competitor when it comes to National racing in Belgium.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Martyn started racing pigeons some 40 years ago, and is now rated as having a breeding team second to none.

Martyn originally raced pigeons in the United Kingdom, based in the mid-North of the country. He enjoyed immense success on a regular basis, winning around 50 x 1st prizes every year.

MARTYN MITCHELL – CAR WINNER IN SOUTH AFRICA MILLION DOLLAR PIGEON RACE

On 12 January 2008 the fifth Hot Spot race was held in the One Loft Race in South Africa from 347 km. A total of 2,979 birds were entered. The winner of 1st prize is “Hand of Peace” bred and entered by Martyn Mitchell of Hulste, Belgium. The pigeon has also flown exceptionally well in the previous Training Flights and Hot Spot races, and is a strong contender for winning the Belgian Superstars award for the race. The prize for this Hot Spot is a motor car – to be chosen by the fancier.
